The University of Mosul organizes a scientific workshop on contemporary trends in the use of clean energy

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, the Department of Industrial Management, in cooperation with Al-Hadba Company and the Clean Energy Company, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Contemporary Trends in the Use of Clean Energy”, on Sunday, November 24, 2024 in Hall No. (2) at ten in the morning at the College of Administration and Economics.

The workshop addressed the most prominent challenges and requirements associated with the transition towards clean energy, in addition to discussing the future of energy in various sectors, such as the automotive sector and its industrial uses. A number of researchers and academics from various related disciplines participated in the workshop, where they presented distinguished research, including:

1- Transition towards clean energy: requirements and challenges for Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Ghazi Dhanoun.

2- From Fossil to Lithium, the Future of Energy in the Automotive Sector by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Talal Ahmed Mohamed.

3- The carbon footprint and its reflection in achieving sustainability for the teacher, Dr. Amal Sarhan Suleiman.
4- The reality of clean energy applications in Iraq
Assistant Teacher Noor Sabah Issa and Assistant Teacher Sarah Kanaan Hamza.
5- Renewable energy sources: a journey towards a sustainable future for assistant teacher Rayan Mohammed Diab and assistant teacher Shahd Adel Saadoun

The workshop also included discussion sessions moderated by a group of specialized professors, with the aim of highlighting the latest innovations and sustainable solutions in the field of clean energy.

The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations that call for enhancing cooperation between universities and industrial institutions to develop innovative solutions that support the transition towards clean energy, thus contributing to achieving sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions in society.
