The department of Industrial Management organized a scientific visit for students of the fourth stage to the Mosul Dam

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Ibrahimi, and under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, and the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Raad Adnan Raouf, Head of the Industrial Management Department, the department organized a scientific visit for students of the fourth stage to the Mosul Dam project to enhance the field practical aspect accompanied by scientific supervisors: –

The aim of the visit was to see the quality standards adopted in the department and their compatibility with international standards, in addition to reviewing the management of electric power production, turbines work, maintenance work and maintenance of vital facilities, which are at the heart of the specialization of the Industrial Management Department, dam parts, huge infrastructure sites and injection, and to see the storage levels, lower and upper limits, how to treat in the flood and rainy season, watching the gates closely, methods of control and control, as well as how to conduct periodic maintenance, as well as identifying On the works inside the dam and its types and access to control and control devices and readings of pressure and temperature sensors inside the dam and tunnels and the work of turbines with a detailed explanation of them and each stage by professors and engineers supervising the project and a statement of the instructions for prevention and occupational safety and their importance in the stages of work. And see turbines to generate electricity from hydropower as a renewable energy source.

At the end of the visit, the teaching staff and our students thanked the management of the dam project, especially Eng. Mohsen Al-Hamad, for the good reception, hospitality and cooperation with wishes of success and success.
