College of Administration and Economics

Under the direct sponsorship and guidance of Professor Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul,
and as part of the ongoing commitment to the mental health of our dear students, the College of Administration and Economics hosted an awareness-raising lecture entitled “Mental Disorders among University Students and Their Impact on Academic Performance” in Discussion Hall 2 on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Iman Hammadi Rajab and Assistant Professor Alia Ahmed Jassim from the Department of Sociology, College of Arts.
The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College and a number of faculty, staff, and students. The event was held in cooperation with the Guidance Committees in the Department of Administrative Information Systems and members of the College’s Special Needs Liaison Office.
The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of awareness of mental disorders that students may experience during their university life and the impact of these disorders on their academic performance. It also provided a set of guidelines and advice that contribute to promoting mental health and improving the educational environment.  At the end of the lecture, the lecturers were honored with certificates of appreciation by the Dean, in recognition of their distinguished efforts.
