Master’s Thesis Defense on “Happy Work Environment and Its Role in Reducing Job Isolation” – Department of Business Administration, College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Discussion Hall No. (1) at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul hosted the master’s thesis defense of student Maha Abbas Saleh Younis from the Department of Business Administration, titled:
“Happy Work Environment and Its Role in Reducing Job Isolation: An Exploratory Analytical Study in a Number of Colleges at Nawroz and Cihan Universities / Duhok.”
The study aimed to explore the role of the happy work environment, with its five dimensions (credibility, fairness, respect, pride, and camaraderie) as an independent variable, in reducing job isolation, which is the dependent variable and is represented by dimensions such as (social support isolation, social interaction isolation, lack of learning opportunities, lack of development opportunities, and physical isolation) within the environment of the surveyed universities.
The study reached several conclusions, the most prominent of which were:
The study variables and their dimensions are present at a good level from the perspective of the academic staff.
There is a significant inverse correlation between a happy work environment and job isolation, confirming that enhancing fairness, credibility, camaraderie, and respect in the work environment directly contributes to reducing manifestations of job isolation among employees.

This thesis comes within the growing interest in the topic of quality of life in the work environment and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth), contributing to enhanced institutional performance and the advancement of modern administrative practices.
