Master’s Thesis Discusses “The Impact of Green Ergonomics on Achieving Indoor Environmental Quality Standards” at the Department of Industrial Management – College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul

The Department of Industrial Management – College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul hosted on Sunday, September 14, 2025, Discussion Hall No. (1) the defense of the master’s thesis submitted by Osama Ali Khudhr, entitled: “The Impact of Green Ergonomics on Achieving Indoor Environmental Quality Standards.”

The discussion was attended by Prof. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College; Asst. Prof. Salim Khalil Khalid, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs; and Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader, Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The study aimed to measure the impact of green ergonomics, with its dimensions (environmental efficiency, effectiveness and productivity, environmental flexibility, original/general solutions, and learning from ecosystems), as an influencing variable on indoor environmental quality standards (heating quality, natural ventilation quality, lighting quality, and sound level quality), as the affected variable. Indoor environmental quality is considered a vital factor in enhancing work productivity and fostering motivation and enthusiasm among employees, while its decline leads to adverse outcomes.

The study reached several conclusions, the most prominent of which was: there is a noticeable interest in the research field variables, which allows for properly employing this interest to achieve satisfactory results. The study also presented several recommendations, the most important of which was the necessity of engaging universities and specialized research centers to optimally benefit from natural resources and to provide better levels of indoor environmental quality without causing negative environmental impacts.
