College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Organizes a Training Course on Waste Management and Modern Handling Strategies

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jameel, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, organized on the morning of Thursday, October 2, 2025, a specialized training course entitled:

“Waste Management: Challenges and the Latest Strategies for Handling It”, held in Hall No. (3407) at the Department of Industrial Management.

The course aimed to raise awareness of the importance of waste management in protecting the environment and public health, introduce the different types of waste (solid, liquid, industrial, medical, electronic, etc.) and their characteristics, as well as review the major challenges faced by societies and organizations in this field. It also provided insights into the latest global strategies for waste reduction, recycling, and the optimal use of resources.

Moreover, the course focused on enabling participants to develop practical plans for waste management in their professional and community environments, in addition to highlighting the role of waste management in achieving sustainable development and reducing the carbon footprint.

The course concluded with the awarding of participation certificates to the attendees, in recognition of their commitment to acquiring up-to-date knowledge in this vital field.
