Master’s Thesis on the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Banking Operations Efficiency – Department of Financial and Banking Sciences, College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul witnessed the defense of a master’s thesis submitted by the student Abdulahad Diaa Abdulahad from the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences, entitled:
“The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving the Efficiency of Banking Operations – An Analytical Study on a Sample of Arab Countries.”
The defense took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to analyze the impact of employing artificial intelligence technologies in enhancing banking performance efficiency by measuring their effect on financial indicators and identifying the challenges that Arab banks face in adopting these modern technologies.
The results revealed that banks with advanced technological infrastructure—particularly in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait—demonstrated higher operational efficiency and greater accuracy in financial forecasting compared to Iraqi banks. This is attributed to their effective adoption of artificial intelligence technologies within their banking systems.
The discussion committee consisted of the following members:
Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Ali Kurdi – University of Tikrit / College of Administration and Economics as a chair, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saja Fathi Mohammed – University of Mosul / College of Administration and Economics as a member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramadan Mahmoud Ramo – University of Mosul / College of Administration and Economics as a member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Laila Abdulkarim Mohammed – University of Mosul / College of Administration and Economics as a member and Supervisor.
