College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul Organizes a Scientific Awareness Workshop on Communicable Diseases and the Impact of Drugs and Addiction
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul, the college, represented by the University Psychological Counseling Unit and in cooperation with the Health Center at the University of Mosul, organized a scientific workshop entitled:
“Communicable Diseases and the Impact of Drugs and Addiction,” on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Hall No. (2).
The lecture was delivered by a group of specialized medical professionals from the University Health Center:
Dr. Mudher Abdul-Munem Shanshal – Director of the University of Mosul Health Center
Mrs. Ruba Abbas Fadel – Chief General Practitioner
Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Yaseen – Senior Chief Nursing Technician
Mr. Mohammed Taha Mohammed – Senior Chief Medical Assistant
The workshop highlighted major communicable diseases and methods of prevention, as well as raised awareness about the dangers of drugs and the effects of addiction on individuals and society, emphasizing the importance of promoting health awareness within the university community.
The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with a number of faculty members, staff, and a large group of students.
At the end of the workshop, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers in recognition of their efforts in promoting health awareness and community prevention.
