The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Embodies Its Humanitarian Mission through the “My School” Initiative in Support of Education and Orphan Care

Driven by its humanitarian and educational mission, and in reflection of its values of generosity and social responsibility, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul participated in implementing the “My School” Initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in support of education and the care of orphans.

The initiative was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College. It was carried out by the Voluntary Work Unit and the Scouting Activities Unit within the Division of Student Activities, in coordination with the Educational Guidance Division and the Sustainable Development Unit in the college, and in cooperation with the Voluntary Work Division of the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh.

The activities of the initiative took place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the presence of Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqader, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with a number of faculty staff, representatives of divisions and related units, and participating volunteer and scout students from the college. The delegation visited Al-Turath Al-Arabi Elementary School for Girls on the left side of Mosul city.

The event included the distribution of school bags and stationery to orphaned and underprivileged pupils at the beginning of the new school year, as part of the college’s commitment to supporting the educational process and extending care and attention to the most vulnerable groups.

The activity was filled with joyful and cheerful moments reflected on the faces of the students, who expressed their happiness with this humanitarian initiative that carried a message of love and support from the University of Mosul and the College of Administration and Economics. They affirmed that such initiatives leave a positive impact on their spirits and instill hope and optimism as they embark on a new academic year.
