Discussion of a Higher Diploma Thesis in the Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul on “The Contribution of Human Resource Soft Skills to Enhancing the Dimensions of Competitive Intelligence”

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul discussed on Thursday, December 4, 2025 the Higher Diploma thesis titled: “The Contribution of Human Resource Soft Skills to Enhancing the Dimensions of Competitive Intelligence,” in the Economics Department hall.
The thesis, presented by Noor Diaa Mohammed Jihad, aimed to identify the impact of human resource soft skills — represented by the dimensions of communication, decision-making and problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, time management, and crisis management — in enhancing the levels of competitive intelligence, represented by competitor intelligence, technological intelligence, customer intelligence, and strategic intelligence.
The study reached several essential conclusions, the most significant of which was:
that there are statistically significant and positive correlation and impact relationships between soft skill dimensions and competitive intelligence dimensions. This confirms that developing soft skills among human resources serves as a fundamental pillar for elevating competitive intelligence within companies and enhancing their strategic capabilities.
The examination committee consisted of: Asst. Prof. Dr. Bassam Muneeb Ali as a chair, Asst. Prof. Riyadh Jameel Wahab as a member, Dr. Ali Waleed Hazem (Lecturer) as a member and Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Bashar Haseeb as a member and supervisor.
