The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul discussed, on Monday, December 8, 2025, the Higher Diploma thesis entitled “Evaluation of the Quality of Laboratory Tests According to the International Standard ISO 17025:2017”, in Discussion Hall No. (1).

The study, submitted by the student Abdulkarim Khalaf Al-Dulaimi in the Department of Industrial Management, aimed to contribute to raising awareness of the international standard ISO 17025:2017 and its role in improving laboratory operations and enabling laboratories to achieve accurate and correct results, in addition to diagnosing the observations that help reduce the gap between the actual work of the laboratory in the Quality Control Department and the requirements of the international standard.

The study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which were that the laboratory provides test results accurately and clearly, without ambiguity, often in the form of official reports. However, the results showed weakness in the analysis of feedback and its utilization in improving the management system and laboratory activities in full compliance with the requirements of ISO 17025:2017.

The examination committee was chaired by: Prof. Dr. Maysar Ibrahim Ahmed – Chairperson (College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul). And the members were: Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Bashar Haseeb – Member (University of Mosul), Asst. Prof. Dr. Amal Sarhan Sulaiman – Member (University of Mosul), Lect. Dr. Ghanem Mahmoud Ahmed – Member and Supervisor (University of Mosul)
