The Department of Business Administration – College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul discusses a Higher Diploma thesis on virtuous leadership and job engagement

The College of Administration and Economics / Department of Business Administration at the University of Mosul witnessed, on Thursday, 12 February 2026, the discussion of the Higher Diploma thesis entitled: “The Role of Virtuous Leadership in Enhancing Job Engagement: An Analytical Study of the Views of a Sample of Employees at the College of Administration and Economics,”
submitted by the student Mohammed Idris Mohammed Al-Hayali, in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship and impact between the study variables at both the overall and partial levels within the organization under study, interpret their directions, and reflect the level of morale within the work environment.
The study reached a set of results consistent with its questions, objectives, and core philosophy, confirming the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the independent variable (virtuous leadership) and the dependent variable (job engagement). This highlights the importance of adopting virtuous leadership styles that contribute to raising employees’ level of involvement and strengthening their attachment to their jobs.

Assistant Professor Dr. Adhwaa Kamal Hussein Al-Jarrah as a chair,  Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Thanoon Younis as a member, Lecturer Dr. Bashar Ghanem Hussein as a member and Lecturer Dr. Noor Ali Aboud as a member and supervisor.
