The event included a purposeful theatrical performance highlighting the importance of social cohesion and its role in confronting deviant ideas, in addition to several research papers addressing ways to reject extremism, promote a culture of dialogue, and strengthen social ties within the university community, thereby reinforcing values of moderation and tolerance.
The organizers emphasized that the University of Mosul plays a central role in raising students’ awareness of the dangers of extremist thought through counseling programs and awareness activities aimed at providing intellectual and psychological support, and building a conscious and responsible generation that contributes to strengthening social security and stability.
This participation aligns with the College of Administration and Economics’ direction toward supporting initiatives that enhance intellectual awareness and affirm the university’s role in serving society and promoting the values of peace and openness.
