The Department of Business Administration – College of Administration and Economics at University of Mosul held a PhD dissertation defense on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
The dissertation, entitled: “Employees’ Skills and Their Impact on the Quality of Job Performance: The Mediating Role of Logistics Activities – An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at the Nineveh Health Directorate”
The thesis presented by Mr. Uday Mohammed Saleh Znad Al-Hamdani in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to examine the impact of employees’ skills on the quality of job performance and to identify the mediating role played by logistics activities in this relationship. The dimensions of employees’ skills included hard skills and soft skills, while the dimensions of job performance quality were represented by tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The mediating variable, logistics activities, comprised transportation, storage, and purchasing.
The findings revealed statistically significant direct effects of employees’ skills on the quality of job performance. Moreover, the study confirmed the mediating role of logistics activities in strengthening this relationship within the hospitals of the Nineveh Health Directorate, contributing to improving the level of healthcare services and enhancing institutional performance efficiency.
