The Department of Industrial Management at the University of Mosul – College of Administration and Economics – held a Master’s thesis defense on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Discussion Hall (1).
The thesis, entitled: “The Impact of Cleaner Production Practices on Achieving Sustainable Competitive Advantage”,
was presented by the student Jabal Aziz Sinjar Al-Jubouri.
The study aimed to examine the role of cleaner production practices in achieving sustainable competitive advantage. The researcher drew upon a range of previous studies and relevant literature addressing the independent variable (cleaner production) and the dependent variable (sustainable competitive advantage). The study specifically sought to:
Analyze the conceptual relationship between the study variables and critically discuss the derived insights.
Test the impact of cleaner production on sustainable competitive advantage at the Mishraq Sulphur Plant.
The key findings of the study revealed:
A strong and significant overall correlation between cleaner production and sustainable competitive advantage.
Significant correlations between each individual dimension of cleaner production and sustainable competitive advantage, reinforcing the organization’s future-oriented perspective.
A statistically significant impact of cleaner production practices on achieving sustainable competitive advantage.
