The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul holds its second open session, confirming the completion of program accreditation requirements and the enhancement of its international academic presence

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held the second open session of its College Council for the 2026–2027 academic year on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, and attended by the associate deans, department heads, and several administrative unit managers.

​during the session, participants discussed the administrative and academic directives issued by the University of Mosul Council, exploring implementation mechanisms designed to elevate institutional performance and advance both educational and research standards. The council also reviewed the progress of ongoing academic and administrative plans for the current school year.

​The council emphasized the necessity of completing all program accreditation requirements in preparation for the upcoming visit by the specialized ministerial committee. Academic departments were instructed to keep their Arabic and English websites updated, working closely with the Media and Government Communication Division to present a clear picture of the college’s scholarly work and strengthen its digital presence.

​To broaden its international academic engagement, the council called for expanding the involvement of external thesis reviewers from outside Iraq through online platforms. It also underscored the importance of publishing research in reputable international databases, particularly Scopus, as a vital driver for research excellence and improved academic rankings.

​Additionally, the meeting addressed the need to promote athletic, social, and advisory activities alongside social solidarity programs, while supporting community studies within approved administrative frameworks. The council also ensured the finalization of teaching assignment distributions among faculty members to guarantee a smooth start to the academic year.

​The session concluded with a shared commitment to teamwork, dedicating all scientific and administrative resources toward achieving the college’s goals, cementing quality standards and academic accreditation, and enhancing the standing of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul locally and internationally.
