The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses Master’s Thesis on the Role of Lean Management in Improving Service Quality

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Thursday, September 10, 2026, a Master’s thesis titled “The Role of Lean Management in Improving Service Quality,” presented by the student Saad Jamal Abdulmajeed Al-Jubouri, in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to identify the positive impacts and reflections adopted by lean management in enhancing service quality by incorporating a modern management philosophy based on contemporary managerial approaches. Additionally, it sought to evaluate the level of implementation of lean management dimensions in the Nimrud Municipality and measure the quality of services provided there.
The study arrived at several conclusions, most notably that the statistical analysis results describing and diagnosing lean management showed that the cycle time reduction dimension achieved the highest agreement rate among the dimensions of the independent variable, reflecting its significance in the field under study. Furthermore, the analysis results regarding service quality revealed that the empathy dimension ranked first in agreement rate, underscoring its pivotal role in improving the quality of delivered services.
