The College of Archaeology Participates in the Student Chess Championship

With the direct support of Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College, the Student Activities Division participated in the University of Mosul Student Chess Championship on April 6-7, 2026. Students from various academic departments participated, including Ahmed Safwan Amjad (Languages ​​Department, third year), Abdullah Ziad Ibrahim (Archaeology Department, second year), Abdulrahman Muataz Hazem (Archaeology Department, third year), and female students Ghufran Sami Mohammed, Rahma Omar Daham, Saja Adnan Khazal, Yamama Abdulhalim Mohammed, Amna Raed Adel, and Laila Duraid Khalil. The championship was held amidst excellent organization, reflecting the high levels of focus and discipline among the participants.

This championship is a strategic step towards enhancing student activities that contribute to developing intellectual skills and the ability to plan and analyze among young people. Through these competitions, the university aims to establish a culture of mental games and build a spirit of positive competition, which will ensure the refinement of the student personality and the development of creative intelligence skills that will serve them in their academic and professional careers.
