Digital Archaeology Workshop

The Studies and Planning Division, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Archaeology and the Studies and Planning Department/Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul, held a scientific workshop entitled “Digital Archaeology and its Applications in Achieving Sustainable Development.” The workshop, presented by students Noor Khaldoun and Abdul Rahman Qahtan from the Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages, took place on Monday, April 13, 2026, in the Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf Hall.

The workshop addressed the importance of digital archaeology through the application of digital software, as well as highlighting its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop witnessed a distinguished attendance of faculty members and students, who enriched the discussion with their contributions and questions, thus enhancing the shared understanding of the importance of archaeology and digital archaeology in achieving sustainable development and improving institutional work.
