The College of Archaeology’s Continuing Education Unit held a training course entitled “Translation of Archaeological Titles and Abstracts from Arabic to English.” The course was presented by Dr. Sanabel Azhar Suleiman, Dr. Saba Jassim Mohammed, and Mr. Ammar Ahmed Mahmoud on Wednesday and Thursday, April 22-23, 2026, in the Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf Hall.

The course included an introduction and definition of the characteristics of titles and abstracts for research papers, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations. It also featured a detailed explanation of the practical aspects and a practical application of the concept using a selection of titles previously submitted for publication in reputable local journals. The course included extensive discussions and a fruitful exchange of experiences. It concluded with recommendations and suggestions that enriched the linguistic skills of the researchers.
