College of Archaeology Participates in the Closing Ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 at University of Mosul

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the participation of the College of Archaeology, the closing ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 was held at the University of Mosul on Thursday, February 12, 2026, amidst a distinguished academic and official presence.
The closing ceremony included a number of diverse segments that reflected the spirit of creativity and initiative. It began with a panel discussion on innovation and the obstacles to investment in Iraq, followed by a musical performance, a theatrical presentation, and a short film by the Student Activities Department.
The events also included honoring the deans of the university’s colleges. The Dean of the College of Archaeology was recognized for her role in supporting entrepreneurial and student activities, and the award was accepted by Dr. Ayad Dhunoun, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs. Partners, media representatives, and the private sector were also honored, as were the committees involved in Global Entrepreneurship Week. Dr. Layal Khalil, Head of the Technology Incubator Unit, accepted the award.
The ceremony concluded with the announcement of the final recommendations and future steps. Entrepreneurship Week served to underscore the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, and to supporting young talent in ways that contribute to serving the community and achieving sustainable development.
