**College of Basic Education Holds an Introductory Workshop on Horizon Europe Programmes**
The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul, represented by the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit, in cooperation with the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the University Presidency and the European Union Projects Unit, organized an introductory workshop on the **Horizon Europe** programmes.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Hamed, Assistant Lecturer and Head of the European Union Projects Unit.
The workshop aimed to enhance opportunities for researchers and faculty members to participate in internationally funded research projects and programmes supported by the European Union, as well as to foster effective research partnerships with European academic institutions.
The workshop covered five main topics, as illustrated in the accompanying icons:
1. An introduction to the **Horizon Europe** Programme.
2. The **MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships** Programme.
3. The **MSCA Researcher Exchange** Programme.
4. Application procedures and access to international research funding opportunities.
5. Building research partnerships and strengthening academic collaboration with European universities.

The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a master's thesis entitled “Developing a Tactical Thinking Scale and Its Contribution to Performance Effectiveness among Iraqi University Handball Team Players” on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Al-Hadbaa Hall at the college.
