Master’s Thesis at the College of Basic Education on “The Effect of Continuous Aerobic Training Using Variable-Speed Training on Selected Functional Variables and Body Composition in Overweight Males”

A Master’s thesis entitled “The Effect of Continuous Aerobic Training Using Variable-Speed Training on Selected Functional Variables and Body Composition in Overweight Males” was discussed at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, College of Basic Education, University of Mosul, on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The thesis, submitted by the student Rayan Hamid Ahmed Al-Taie, aimed to develop a continuous aerobic training program using a variable-speed training approach and to investigate its effects on selected functional variables, body composition variables, and physical-effort recovery time among overweight males aged 25–35 years. The study also sought to demonstrate the effectiveness of this training approach in improving functional efficiency, body composition, and the ability to recover following physical exertion.
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tawfiq Agha, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Yousif and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Ahmed Hamza serving as members, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Alaa Al-Din serving as a member and supervisor.
