Congratulations to Professor Dr. Mohammed Younis Al-Juraisi, Dean of the College of Basic Education, University of Mosul, on the publication of two scientific Book Chapters by the internationally renowned publisher Springer Nature, indexed in the Scopus database.

In line with the dynamic scientific and research activities taking place across academic institutions, we are pleased to extend our highest congratulations and appreciation to Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Younis Al-Juraisi, Dean of the College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul, on the publication of two scientific book chapters by the internationally renowned publishing house Springer Nature. Both publications are indexed in Scopus, reflecting his distinguished academic standing and research excellence, while further enhancing the international visibility and reputation of the University of Mosul.
🔹 First Chapter:
“Sentiment and Trend Analysis of Amazon Product Reviews Using Supervised Machine Learning Techniques”
This study explores sentiment and trend analysis in Amazon product reviews using supervised machine learning techniques. The research employs a range of advanced algorithms, including Random Forest, XGBoost, and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), to develop accurate models for classifying user opinions and identifying behavioral patterns within e-commerce environments.
🔹 Second Chapter:
“Evaluating the Impact of SMOTE on Workplace Absenteeism Prediction for Enhanced Human Resource Decision-Making”
This study investigates the impact of the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) in addressing data imbalance and improving the prediction of workplace absenteeism. The findings contribute to more informed decision-making in human resource management through the evaluation and comparison of several machine learning algorithms, resulting in enhanced predictive accuracy and effectiveness.
Both scholarly contributions were published as part of the Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) series by Springer Nature, which is indexed in the Scopus database. Their publication underscores a commitment to research excellence and meaningful contributions to the advancement of artificial intelligence, data mining, machine learning, and their contemporary applications.
