*College of Medicine Continues Participation in “Bridge of Mercy” Project in Batnaya Village*

 

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of Mosul University, and the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, Dean of the College of Medicine, and with the participation of a group of faculty members and students, the College of Medicine continued its activities on Monday, December 22, 2025, as part of the voluntary project organized by Mosul University in Batnaya village.

 

The College of Medicine participated through its various volunteer teams:

– *Al-Rahma Medical Team*

– *Al-Hemma Al-Baydaa Medical Team*

– *Nabdh Al-Shifaa Mosul Team*

– *Masar Al-Ataa Team*

 

The teams conducted patient examinations at the village health center, followed by a visit to Batnaya School. The visit included distributing educational brochures and posters at the school, along with informative leaflets about some diseases and prevention methods, as well as awareness materials about smoking, drugs, and their harms. Lectures were also given to school students and villagers to promote health awareness and strengthen social solidarity.

 

This participation is in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development Unit at the university, achieving Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

– Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being

– Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

– Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

– Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

 

The College of Medicine emphasizes its continued support for humanitarian and community initiatives that embody Mosul University’s mission to serve society and build human potential.
