Student Voluntary Activity (Ramadan Basket Initiative) / College of Medicine – University of Mosul

In support of needy families and to enhance social responsibility, the voluntary student team at the College of Medicine participated in the Ramadan Basket initiative and distributed it to needy families during the blessed month of Ramadan. The initiative involved distributing “Ramadan Food Baskets” to needy families in different areas of Mosul city, as part of promoting social solidarity values and instilling a culture of voluntary work. The initiative witnessed active participation from college students who contributed to preparing and packaging the food baskets, which included basic necessities to meet the needs of families during the holy month. The baskets were distributed in an organized manner to ensure they reached the most needy groups, in coordination with the Voluntary Work Committee at the college.

This initiative is part of the educational institution’s vision to support social responsibility, develop the spirit of giving and teamwork, and strengthen the connection of the University of Mosul and the College of Medicine with community issues and services. It aligns with achieving Sustainable Development Goals: 1, 2, 3, and 17. This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to its humanitarian and developmental role, and its effort to graduate a conscious generation capable of making a sustainable positive impact in their community.
