College of Medicine Hosts National Tree Planting Day Event

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, and in line with Sustainable Development Goals, the Agricultural Section and the Media and Government Communication Section at the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the University, organized the National Tree Planting Day event on Thursday, March 12, 2026, aiming to increase green spaces.

The event included:

– Planting several trees in the college courtyard.

– Distributing awareness brochures on the importance of tree planting and environmental conservation.

– Agricultural competitions for college staff and students.

– Awarding prizes to winners.

These activities aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and natural resources, and achieve Sustainable Development Goals 13 – Climate Action, 15 – Life on Land, and 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities.
