The Human Rights Unit at the College of Medicine distributed awareness posters, on Tuesday 02/06/2026, to the college staff and students. This was part of activities aimed at commemorating the victims of mass graves and remembering the great sacrifices made by the people of Iraq.

The posters included informational content documenting the significance of this national day, along with noble messages emphasizing the sanctity of national memory, the necessity of preserving it, and entrenching the values of justice, fairness, and the protection of human rights as an unwavering cornerstone.

This initiative embodies the Human Rights Unit’s firm commitment to spreading a culture of rights awareness, reviving immortal national milestones that immortalize the memory of the martyrs, and awakening the collective conscience to reject the discourse of violations and to promote respect for human dignity as a supreme value that is non-negotiable. It is also linked to Sustainable Development Goals 4, 10, and 16.
