Chess Championship at the College of Medicine for Students
Under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Basil SAEED, and in the presence of the vice dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Karam Turath , the Student Activities Unit at the College of Medicine organized the college’s chess championship for students on Monday, October 7, 2024. The competition was held in the building of the scientific departments according to the knockout system, with the participation of 20 students from all academic years.
The results for the male students were as follows:
• 1st place: Fahd Mohammed (sixth-year)
• 2nd place: Ahmed Azher (fifth-year)
• 3rd place: Ali Ihsan (sixth-year).
For the female students:
• 1st place: Zahraa Jasim Ibrahim (fifth-year)
• 2nd place: Zubeida Iyad Saeed (fifth-year)
• 3rd place: Raqia Firas (third-year).
At the end of the championship, the Dean and the Vice dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs distributed prizes to the top three winners. Congratulations to the winners and better luck to all participants.
