College of Medicine Attends and Participates in a Symposium of the College of Veterinary Medicine

Under the patronage and presence of the President of Mosul University Prof Dr Qusay K. al-Ahmadi, and in the presence of the Vice-Scientific Affairs Prof Dr Munir S. Taha, the Department of Surgery and Animal Breeding held the scientific symposium entitled “Control of stray dogs surgically and hormonally” on Wednesday, 22 January 2020. The symposium was attended by a number of colleges’ deans including the Dean of the College of Medicine Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, and a number of university teaching staff including the Head of the Department of Surgery Prof Dr Samir I. al-Saffar. The opening of the symposium, which was moderated by the Official of the Division of Information of the College of Medicine Chief Engineer Hasan Y. Abdullah, started with recitation of the verses of the Holy Qur’an followed by a word to the Dean of Veterinary Medicine then two opening lectures. After a short break, the scientific session has started which consisted of two lectures. In conclusion, the suggestions and recommendations that came out of the symposium were read out.
