College of Medicine Organizes Breast Cancer Awareness Activity
Under the auspices of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, the Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Medicine, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University, organized an awareness activity on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October).

Activity Highlights:
– Welcoming members of the Women’s Affairs Committee from the College of Science and a number of faculty members.
– Distributing sweets to guests and participants.
– Conducting breast ultrasound examinations for faculty members from the College of Science by specialist radiologists from the College of Medicine.

Objectives:
This activity aligns with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
– Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being
– Goal 4: Quality Education
– Goal 5: Gender Equality
– Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
– Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Impact:
This activity reflects the College of Medicine’s mission as a medical and educational institution that provides specialized healthcare services, promotes health awareness, and offers free consultations and examinations. It enhances the college’s position as an institution that combines education and community healthcare, serving everyone with high efficiency.
