College of Medicine

The College of Medicine, University of Mosul, was the first medical college in Iraq to receive international accreditation from the Jordanian Commission ((Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions)).

The Jordanian Commission granted accreditation to the College of Medicine of Mosul. This achievement resulted from thousands of hours of continuous work in record time to achieve international accreditation requirements. The college was visited by an international team specialized in quality and accreditation to review all the requirements of the college. After the visit and study of the college’s self-report, a full accreditation certificate was granted to the University of Mosul College of Medicine, a certificate of international accreditation. The University of Mosul Medical College was the first Iraqi medical college to be visited by an international team and the first to obtain a certificate of international accreditation from the mentioned body. The college will always remain in the lead locally, regionally, and internationally.
