One of the Academic Staff from the Department of Surgery Chairs the Master’s Thesis Discussion Committee in the College of Nursing, University of Mosul
A master’s thesis submitted by the student Ahmed I. Al-Jubouri on “lifestyle considerations for patients with osteoporosis” was discussed in the College of Nursing, University of Mosul on Monday,1st November 2021. The discussion committee was chaired by a professor from the Department of Surgery, Prof Dr. Mahmoud Abed Al-Jumaily, with the membership of a number of other academic staff.
The aim of the thesis was to assess the lifestyle of patients with osteoporosis and its relationship with demographic characteristics.
It recommended the establishment of an osteoporosis centre in the city of Mosul with screening for all women aged fifty years and over. In addition to the necessity to develop a program to help patients improve their lifestyle and activate nursing homes to provide the best nursing care.
After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read including accepting the thesis after making amendments to it and awarding the student a master’s degree.
