Participating the College of Medicine in the Regional Studies Centre Symposium in University of Mosul

Under the patronage of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and in cooperation with the College of Education for Girls, the Centre for Women’s Studies at University of Baghdad, and the United Nations Representation, the Nineveh Office, the Centre of Regional Studies at University of Mosul held the virtual international scientific symposium titled “Violence against women and protection mechanisms” on Wednesday, November 25th 2020. After the protocol speeches, the symposium started by holding two scientific sessions in addition to the opening session. A number of teaching staff of faculties and academics from inside and outside University of Mosul have given the lectures among them the lecturer Dr from the Department of Family and Community Medicine in the College of Medicine (Official of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Division) Omaima A. Ibrahim. After the lectures, after the questions, interventions, and discussions by the attendees, the recommendations were come out. The holding of this scientific activity coincides with the International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women.
