Participating the Head of the Department of Medicine in a Medical Scientific Symposium on Covid 19

The Haematology Unit of Ibn Sina Teaching Hospital held its medical scientific symposium entitled “Thrombotic complications during Covid 19” on Tuesday, November 24th 2020. The symposium included two lectures: the first by the Head of the Medical Department, Faculty of Medicine, Prof Dr Khalid Al-Kheroo, in which he presented his lecture titled “Many questions raised about the Corona pandemic.” Whereas specialist Dr Saleh Khudair presented his lecture titled “Medical Interactions with Hemophilia Patients in the Corona Pandemic.” After the two lectures, there was a room for questions, interventions and discussions by the attendees. The symposium came out with several recommendations, perhaps the most prominent of which is the need to discuss methods of disease transmission and preventive measures for health personnel to limit the ways of spreading the disease. Citizens’ awareness of the necessity of wearing masks in public places by everyone. It also isolates the suspected health personnel as well as those in contact with them and conducting the necessary checks for them in addition to other recommendations. Among the attendees was the director of Ibn Sina Hospital, Dr Muhannad Daham, as well as a group of specialists for the Nineveh Health Department.
