The Department of Basic Nursing Sciences of the College of Nursing held scientific symposium entitled ” Congenital Birth Defects: Causes and Prevention” on Wednesday, 30th October 2019. The lectures of the symposium dealt with several pivots, most notably the role of genetic factor in congenital malformations, drugs and medical drugs and their relationship to them, and biological and physical causes and methods of diagnosis. On the part of the College of Medicine, the head of the Radiology Department, Dr Hadeel M. Farouk Al-Hayali, participated in her research entitled: “A Fetal MRI in Third Dimension for the Assessment and Diagnosis on Fetal Information”. The symposium concluded by giving recommendations and distributing certificates to researchers and participants.
