Participation of Faculty Member

Assistant Professor Dr. Arwa Al-Sarraf, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Mosul Medicine, participated in the First Conference of Editorial Boards of Iraqi Scientific Journals held in Baghdad on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. The event was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd.

The conference hosted prominent international institutions such as Scopus, Clarivate, Elsevier, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. It saw wide participation from deans, heads, and members of editorial boards of Iraqi scientific journals. Discussions focused on robust publishing practices aimed at integrating into global scientific repositories and addressing key challenges. The significant standing achieved by Iraqi scientific journals was highlighted through detailed statistics.

This participation in the first conference of Iraqi scientific journal editorial boards is a valuable opportunity to enhance the standing of Iraqi journals in the international academic landscape, exchange expertise with specialists in scientific publishing, and contribute to advancing scientific research in Iraq, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) , 4 (Quality Education).

In cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / University of Mosul Presidency – Sustainable Development Unit
