Seminar in cyber crimes

Under the auspices of Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednathir Saeed, the Division of the Legal Affairs of the College of Medicine held the educational symposium”Cyber ​​blackmail crimes and their effects on society” on Tuesday, 31th May 2022. The symposium was attended by the Vice- President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof Dr Munir S. Taha, and the Dean of the College of Medicine and his vice-deans. It was hosted in the seminar the Commander of the Eighth Emergency Regiment, the Officer of the Ahrar Centre, the Director of Communications in the Nineveh Security Directorate, Mr. Officer of the 17th Emergency Regiment, and the Director of the 17th Emergency Regiment, Community Police, the Director of the Central Bank, and the Director of the Northern Region Audit Office Rafidain Bank.The symposium began with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an, then the symposium introduced “the concept of cybercrime and the warning against electronic extortion” through an interesting lecture presented by the Vice- Director of Community Police, and the light was shed by the legal scholar Shaima’ Hatem, a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, on “the punishment of cybercrimes”The psychological impact of these crimes and the role of the family in enhancing awareness of their dangers were discussed.The symposium was concluded with recommendations and the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the honourable guests by the deanship of the College of Medicine
