The College of Medicine Attends a Workshop at the College of Pharmacy

In the presence of the Vice-Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Lecture Dr Harith Kh. al-Qazzaz and Vice- Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in the College of Pharmacy held a workshop entitled “Pharmaceutical Application of Organ Bath”, on Thursday, 12 December 2019. The workshop was opened with a welcome speech by the Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Department, followed by the scientific lectures by the teaching staff of the Department of Pharmacology. After that, a practical application on the mechanism of the device’s work was presented, how to link and treat tissues with different drugs, and to monitor the responses of isolated organs resulting from tissue exposure to the effect of the drugs. Also some posters were displayed that clarified the mechanism of work of the device and examples of scientific experiments in which the device is used. On the part of the College of Medicine, the workshop was attended by a group of teaching staff from the Department of Family and Community Medicine such as Assistant Prof Dr Bassam A. M. Ali, Assistant Prof Dr Walid Gh. A. al-Ta`ie, and the lecture Dr Omaima A. Ibrahim, the Lecture Dr Nadia H. Saeed, and the lecture Dr Najlaa I. al-Sammak, Lecture Mona M. Ahmed, the Assistant Lecture Rokaya A. Saleh, and the Assistant Lecture Firas M. Saeed. This workshop is part of the continuing education activities of the College of Pharmacy.
