The College of Medicine Attends and Participates in a Medical Scientific Symposium on Autism Held by Nineveh University

The College of Medicine at University of Nineveh held its scientific symposium entitled “Sleep .. Speech .. Autism Disorder” on Monday 24th May 2021. The symposium dealt with issues of speech disorders in children and their autism and the causes leading to this disease. The most important treatment methods to ensure this were also discussed.

The symposium consisted of several lectures by a number of professionals and academics teaching staff, including the Head of the Department of Paediatrics from College of Medicine at University of Mosul, Assistant Prof Dr Riadh A. Al-Obaidi who presented his research topic on the hormone melatonin and its use in paediatrics. Note that the lecture is extracted from a recent research that was accepted in a scientific journal with an impact factor.

The symposium was held under the auspices of the President of University of Nineveh, and in the presence of the Scientific Vice-President of the university and the Dean and Vice- Dean of the Colleges of Medicine of Universities of Mosul and Nineveh as well as a number of the teaching staff of the two mentioned colleges.
