College of Medicine

The Department of Paediatrics of College of Medicine at University of Duhok held a medical scientific symposium on the topic of paediatrics and new-borns on Thursday, 23 January 2020. After the official opening ceremony, the symposium has started, which consisted of two scientific sessions, and seven lectures were delivered. The College of Medicine had an active participation and attendance that contributed to the success of the symposium, because the dean Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, and the Head of the Department of Paediatrics Assistant Prof Dr Riyad A. al-Obeidi are members of the executive and preparatory committees of the symposium respectively. In addition to that, the Dean presided the work of the first scientific session, while Prof Abdul-Rahman A. al-Shahwani from the Department of Surgery presided of the work of the second scientific session. The symposium was attended by the Vice- Dean for scientific Affairs the assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, as well as a selection of teaching staff from the Departments of Paediatrics and Surgery.
