The College of Medicine Holds its Third Virtual International Scientific Symposium on the Corona Pandemic

Under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and the Scientific Vice-Dean, assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and in cooperation with the AstraZenka Pharmaceutical Company, the College held its third virtual scientific symposium on the Corona pandemic entitled “Developments on methods of prevention and treatment of the Corona pandemic Updates on Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19” on Saturday, 26th September 2020. The symposium was efficiently run by the Official of the Scientific Affairs Division, the lecturer Dr Rana M. Raouf, with an opening speech by the Dean, and an introductory speech to the professor of the Department of Medicine, assistant Prof Dr Rami M. Adel Al-Hayali. After that, the seminar began with a lecture by the consultant doctor Dr. Tom Vardon (from Scotland) entitled “NHS Tayside Scotland – How We Dealt With COVID-19”, then a lecture by the consultant doctor Dr. Mudar Al-Khair Allah (Scotland)under the title “The UK Handling of The COVID 19 Pandemic.” After that, the time was allowed for discussion, questions and interventions by the attendees. And before the end, the symposium coordinator, assistant Prof Dr Rami M. Adel Al-Hayali delivered the closing speech.
