College of Medicine

The College of Medicine organized a workshop on sexual and reproductive health under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, supervised by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning /Sustainable Development Unit,  Training and Employment Division at the University of Mosul Presidency.

The workshop, titled “Sexual and Reproductive Health,” was held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in line with Sustainable Development Goals (1-5).

The workshop featured three lectures:
1. The first lecture, “Protecting University Youth: Medical and Legal Insights into Sexual Behaviors and Their Risks,” was presented by the Vice Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Karam Turath Agha.
2. The second lecture, “Important Information for Reproductive Health and How to Maintain It,” was presented by the Head of the Family and Community Medicine Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Umaima Abdul Razzaq Ibrahim.
3. The third lecture, “Reproductive Health: Your Awareness Today—-Your Safety Tomorrow,” was presented by the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Baraa Luqman Hammo.

The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Dean of the College of Nursing, the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs in the College of Medicine, the head of the Training and Employment Division at the University of Mosul Presidency, and a group of fourth-year nursing students.
