The College of Medicine Wins the Second Place in the University Team Chess Championship for the students’ Category
The College of Medicine won the second place in the University Team Chess Championship (student category), which was held by the Student Activities Department of the University of Mosul, on Sunday, 20th June 2021. The dental team came in first place, while the arts team came third. The medical team was represented by the players Muhammad T. Hassan, Muhammad J. Ibrahim (the fifth phase) and Ahmed A. Fadel (the first phase). The preparation of the team was supervised by the head of the Student Activities Division, the Lecturer Dr Muhammad Kh. Salih.
The tournament was held under the patronage of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and its opening was attended by the Scientific Vice- President Prof Dr Munir S. Taha, the Dean of the College of Nursing and the Director of Student Activities Department with the participation of fourteen colleges. The Deanship of the College of Medicine, University of Mosul, congratulated the technical staff and its dear students, wishing them continued success in the scientific and sports fields together.
