College of Medicine

The Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, attended a memorial ceremony held by the College of Science for the soul of its former Dean, Prof Dr Farouk S. Al-Omari, may God have mercy on him on Monday, 29th November 2021.

The ceremony began with reciting Surat Al-Fatihah on the soul of the deceased, then uttering many words in his elegy by reviewing his scientific biography that is full of scientific and academic achievements. At the end of the ceremony, the Dean of the College of Sciences, Assistant Prof Dr Hiyam A. Al-Taee, and the Head of the Department of Earth Sciences presented shields of loyalty to the family of the deceased, who expressed their thanks and gratitude for this kind initiative, as it reflected the spirit of love, loyalty and gratitude that the deceased had instilled in everyone.

May God have mercy on him, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.
