The Department of Pathology Announces the Results of the Fourth Pathology Arts Competition
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, the committee of the fourth edition of the Pathology Art Competition (PATHOLOGYART 4) announced the results of its competition, on Monday, 27th December 2021. The student Rushd Fouad (the fifth grade of the College of Medicine of University of Mosul) won the category of video works with its three works “The Voice of Cells”, “Nervous Cord” and “The Artery Wall”. In the handicrafts category, student Farah Waleed (Fourth Stage, College of Medicine, University of Mosul) won for her work “Pathological Steps of Acute Inflammation”, while student Fatima Nasser (fifth grade, College of Dentistry, University of Mosul) won the painting “Antibodies”. The winners will be honoured at a date to be determined later.
The competition committee consisted of the Head of the Department of Pathology, the Lecturer Dr Zahra’ M. Shaaban, the Assistant Lecturer Dr Karam T. Tawfiq, and the Assistant Lecturer Dr Elaf A. Hamdi.
Pathology Arts Competition is an annual tradition established by the department to invest students’ artistic and creative energies and devote them through a competition to serve medical sciences in general and pathology on a private page. The competition enjoys wide participation from the medical group students inside and outside the university.
