The committee of Scientific Promotions of the College of Medicine; under the auspices and presence of the Dean of the College of Medicine Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed and in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer, and the Chairman of the Central Promotions Committee of University of Mosul Prof Dr Jassim M. Abdul Jabbar; held a workshop on the mechanism of organizing promotion transactions on Wednesday, 15 January2020 at the Hall of Wisdom. The workshop, which was inaugurated by the Chief of Information and Public Relations Division, Chief Engineer Hasan Y. Abdullah, consisted of two scientific sessions. The first session was chaired by Prof Dr Samir I. al-Saffar, the Head of the Department of Surgery, included two lectures for the Official of the Promotions Committee Prof Dr Mona A. Kashmoula and the Assistant Prof Dr Raeda M. al-Wazzan. After a short break, the second session was started. It included three lectures chaired by Prof Dr Mona A. Kashmoula. The first lecture for the Assistant Prof Dr Maysoon al-Kazaz, the second for the Assistant Prof Dr Bassam A. Mohammad Ali, and the third for the Assistant Prof Dr Mazin M. Fawzi. Some questions and discussions were posed at end of each session by the attendees. Noting that a set of recommendations that resulted from these lectures and discussions will be submitted to the concerned authorities in order to take decisive decisions towards them. Among the attendees were members of the Central Committee for Promotion in the Presidency of the University as well as a group of teaching staff from the two colleges of medicine for the Mosul and Nineveh universities alike.
