The Symposium of the Department of Surgery Discusses Inguinal Hernia with Several Surgical Fractures

The symposium of the Department of Surgery discussed the two subjects of inguinal hernia with several cases of surgical fractures on Monday, February 8th 2021. The assistant Prof Dr Khalaf R. Al-Luwaizi presented the pathological case for “Sliding Inguinal Hernia” whereas the lecturer Dr Muthanna A. Hamid presented several Orthopaedic Cases. The pathological cases aimed at discussing surgical cases with students in order to reach the correct diagnosis. The symposium concluded that the students should be instructed to review all possibilities near and far in the diagnosis. Part of the symposium was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil M. Nathir Saeed, and the head, rapporteur and general teaching staff of the Department of Surgery or other departments as well as graduate students. The symposium was taken over by the assistant Prof Dr Abdel Salam Th. Al-Masry.
