College of Medicine

A workshop titled “Skin-Joint Axis in Clinical Practice: Bridging Rheumatology and Dermatology” was held at the College of Medicine, University of Mosul, on Thursday, November 27, 2025, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim, Dean of the College of Medicine. The workshop was organized by the Department of Medicine in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals for good health, well-being, and quality education.

The workshop included the following lectures:

– “Psoriatic Arthritis: Overcoming Differential Diagnosis Challenges” by Dr. Zahraa Amer
– “Treatment of Immune-Mediated Myositis and Dermatitis” by Dr. Mohammad Ghanim
– “Psoriasis: Beyond the Skin” by Dr. Safwan Saleh Al-Ali
– “When to Investigate? When to Refer? and How to Collaborate Across Specialties”
– “The Changing Face of Lupus: EULAR/ACR 2019 Criteria and Beyond” by Dr. Ahmad Manhal
– “When Skin Reveals Body Secrets: Dermatological Signs of Systemic Sclerosis” by Dr. Mohammad Basil Al-Khayyat
– “Case Reports Presented at APLAR Conference” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulrahman Younis

The workshop was held in the Al-Razi Hall, College of Medicine.
