Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Basil Saeed, and the supervision of the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hamam Ghanem Zubair, the Department of Microbiology held a workshop entitled Safety Measures in the Microbiology Laboratory on 5-7/3/2024. The workshop addressed the essential requirements and safety rules in laboratories in general and dealt in detail with safety standards in the microbiology laboratory, infections that can be transmitted to laboratory workers, how to deal with biological samples, and methods of destruction of those samples.
